When does Uptimes report a website as "down"?

A website will be reported as down if:

• the website is not accessible.
• the response time of the website is longer than 30 seconds.
• the HTTP response code is 4XX or 5XX.

Can I stop monitoring during my scheduled website maintenance?

Yes. You can pause monitoring and re-activate it again once your site maintenance is complete. To temporarily pause a monitor, click the pause link next to the website monitor on the 'Monitors' page. To resume monitoring of the website, click 'unpause'.

Will the Uptimes monitoring disrupt my website statistics?

Most professional statistics services such as Google Analytics automatically ignore our monitoring service. If you are using a custom statistics package, there should be an option to allow you to add "Uptimes.com" to the list of ignored UserAgents.
